It was 2018. I was driving home on I-85 after a girls weekend when something in my body shifted.
Out of nowhere I was overwhelmed — heart racing, eyes unable to track the highway, a knowing that I could not keep going. I got off at the next exit and drove an hour home on back roads, calling my husband, not really knowing how to let him help me.
I made it home and thought: what the hell just happened?
And underneath that: I need to fix this.
That moment sent me searching.
And what followed over the next several years — divorce, sudden loss, starting over more times than I planned — taught me something I wish someone had told me sooner:
Hard times don’t just test you. They transform you.
Not despite what you go through. Because of it.
